The Kaleva Art Gallery is a cooperative gallery that supports many local crafters and artists.  If you are looking for momentos or functional gifts, this is the spot.  We carry hand woven items along with hand sewn quilts and throws, mittens and scarves, plus paintings and local photography.
There are many hand made craft items, soy candles, and molded glass jewlry and artistic pieces.  Kaleva Michigan apparel and Finnish souvenirs can also be purchased here.

Classes are available in Bob Ross Oil Painting, Photography, Molded Glass, and other seasonal crafts, call for schedule or to sign up.  Our classes are fun as well as rewarding.

Kaleva Art Gallery Christmas Hours

Christmas is just around the corner, but there is still time to visit the Kaleva Art Gallery for those last minute gifts from 10-12 on Tuesday and Wednesday. This co-operative shop, owned and maintained by it's 20 members, is quintessential rural America. “All items are handcrafted and hand-made” states Cindy Asiala, one of its contributing members. The gallery offers a variety of unique items handmade by it's members, including: paintings, clothing, jewelry, quilts, décor and more.

Founded in 1997, by the Brethren High School service learning students under the direction of Deb Crandell, the gallery is located downtown Kaleva in the building of the former Drug Store. As of now, “current members can earn up to 90% commission on the sale of their items” says Deanna Draze, current member and shop helper.  And “we are always looking for new members and artists” states Asiala. If interested in becoming a contributive member, contact Fran Beldo, current president at 231-362-3250.
